The Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club concluded the 2025-2026 horse racing season with the 14th race held two days ago. The event featured 150 purebred Arabian horses across 10 heats, with a total prize pool of 550,000 dirhams.
Yas Racing horses stole the spotlight, securing four wins. The horse «Numr» under the guidance of Eric Legris and ridden by Samuel Legris claimed the Al Ain Cup (for purebred Arabian horses aged four and over) in the main third heat over 2000 meters. «Hanif» then added a second victory under Eric Lemartinel and guided by Jules Mobian in the fourth heat for novice horses over 1600 meters.
«Azad» secured a third win under Eric Lemartinel and ridden by Sylvester De Souza, clinching a «double» in the sixth heat for horses aged four and over over 1600 meters. Meanwhile, «Nibras» delivered a fourth win under Eric Lemartinel, guided by Jules Mobian, securing a «double» in the seventh heat over 1600 meters.
«Leob In Ar» for Nael Rashid Al Shamsi, under Sultan Al Hajiri and ridden by Abdulaziz Al Balushi, won the first heat for novice horses over 1800 meters. The second heat over 1800 meters for horses aged four and over went to «Salem Noor Green» owned by Local Creator Racing, under Doug Watson and ridden by Taj Oshi.
«Abab» for Ali Abdulaziz Al Oweis, under Ahmed Al Muhairibi and ridden by Sylvester De Souza, triumphed in the fifth heat over 1600 meters. «Ef Irtad» for Al Jazira Racing, under Suhail Al Mazroui and ridden by Sylvester De Souza, secured a «triple» in the eighth heat over 1000 meters.
The mare «Ef Bada» for Khalid Khalifa Al Nabooda, under Ernest Ortil and ridden by Taj Oshi, claimed victory in the ninth heat over 1000 meters for UAE-bred horses. Jockey Muhammad Salim concluded the evening with a win in the tenth heat on the mare «Rayana Al Hisn» for owner and trainer Ghader Abdullah Al Mansouri over 1000 meters for UAE-bred horses.
The winners were honored by General Manager of Al Ain Equestrian and Shooting Club Muhammad Rashid Al Nasri, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee, General Supervisor of races at Al Ain racetrack Faisal Ar-Rahmani, Director of Community Sports at Abu Dhabi Sports Council Saeed Al Mahiri, and Director of Equestrian at the club Ali Farook.
